I was wondering if someone could put me in touch with Paddy Geoghegan? He mentioned his
uncle, John Joe Troyin one of his articles. My ancestor, James Troy b. 1824 was from
Waterpark, County Cork and sailed
into Boston, 6/1/1846 from Canada.
His parents were James and Mary Sullivan I was hoping we could make a connection.

Good morning Libby,
I don't have your e-mail address, hopefully you will read this. My John Joe Troy came from Ballysaggart - North West of Lismore. Waterpark is accross the river Blackwater from Ballyduff. Unfortunately your "Troy" left Ireland before the 1901 Census. Check the Census national archives for the 1911 info, the 1901 info will be posted early in 2010. Good luck in your search and if I can be of any assistance please let me know.
